Tuscany is located in Central Italy and its region's capital is Florence. Tuscany is geographically surrounded by many physical features such as hills and mountains. Around Tuscany, there is a lot of fertile soil that supports many agricultural needs and smaller economic problems that involve the use of soil for farming. The Apennine Mountains are located near northern and eastern Tuscany. The Arno River flows through the region of Tuscany. Artisans in Tuscany and in Florence happen to be well known for their work, but Tuscany also happens to have good industry such as tourism. To the south of Tuscany is the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. The Ionian Sea lies to the east and south of Tuscany and the Adriatic Sea lies to the east of Tuscany where the Apennine Mountains are positioned near. Cities such as Pisa, Pistoia, Cecina, and Follonica are located in the region of Tuscany.
